When Life Gives You Lemons

Here at Coats Homes, we count our blessings. Every day, we are privileged to work on the dream homes our clients entrust us with. Today, however, we have a new type of blessing to count—playhouses!

We know the most important part of a home is the love and care that fills it, so when the chance came along to participate in Dallas CASA's 2019 Parade of Playhouses, we knew we couldn't pass it up. Dallas CASA's mission is to help abused and neglected children in protective care find permanent homes out of harm's way, and we are so excited to help spread awareness for their cause by contributing our own "Lemonade Stand" playhouse to the Parade, on display at NorthPark Center until July 28th:

Shout out to our Assistant PM Philip Carson & our amazing framers at RJC Construction for building the playhouse in record time for nothing more than free fried chicken and the gratification of a job well done. Materials for the exterior was donated by Builders First Source and treated following the Japanese method "shou sugi ban." We love how it turned out!

And we couldn't be happier with all the cute details! A beautiful yellow barn door courtesy of JH Tellini & Co, fun turf carpeting courtesy of ForeverLawn Texas, and interiors as cute as can be thanks to our resourceful Design Associate, Alexis McDonald, and intern Easton.

So what are you waiting for? Grab a friend and head to NorthPark to see the playhouses for yourself! You can enter the drawing to win your favorite playhouse by texting DCASA to 41444 and making a $5 donation. Don't forget to take a selfie with ours (right outside Vineyard Vines)! Tag us on Instagram and we'll repost you to our Insta story!

Inspired and in love with our job,
