Along with building custom homes in the Park Cities and Preston Hollow neighborhoods, Coats Homes strives to use our resources to help families in the low-income neighborhoods of Dallas. As a part of this ongoing project, Coats Homes is in the process of completing a project in which we are replacing an old roof and porch for a family in West Dallas. The home, originally built in the early 1900’s, needed some love. Some members of our team speculated that the roof was original to the home!
With this project and others in the past, Coats Homes has partnered with Advocates for Community Transformation (ACT). ACT strives to empower inner city residents to fight crime and create a safer community for people to live in. This initiative involves renovating and rebuilding homes to reduce drug and criminal networks in neighborhoods. Our recently completed project on Shaw Street is one step closer to make this goal a reality.
Also, a special thanks to Wellborn Roofing, RJC Construction, Bubba Tugs, and Roman Electic for helping us out and making this project possible.
